Join CVC as we celebrate the official launch of the Acton Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan together.
In collaboration with the Town of Halton Hills and Bird Friendly Halton Hills, we invite you to explore the Acton SNAP action plan and connect with local groups like, Trees for Halton Hills, Halton Hills Turtle Guardians, Halton Environmental Network, Grandmothers Voice, and other community partners.
Scales Nature Park will be onsite with live animals, offering an interactive and educational experience for attendees of all ages.
Food will also be available from Gordon’s Hot Dogs, with alternative options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free attendees.
The Acton SNAP is a community-driven roadmap designed to make Acton greener, healthier and ready for the future. It brings together residents, local businesses, institutions and partners to protect nature, improve water quality and build a climate-resilient neighbourhood where people and nature thrive together.
The Action Plan outlines four goals and 22 practical actions focused on protecting, enhancing, and restoring Black Creek, Bovis Creek, Fairy Lake, and surrounding natural areas to support a healthier environment.
